About the Artist
When I was 5, I started making greeting cards for my family at Christmas, Valentine’s Day and on birthdays. When my high school art teacher took an interest in my work, I began to think seriously of a career as an artist.
I enrolled in The College of Saint Rose’s graphic design BFA program, which is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). It is an excellent program, but I was drawn to the then-new communications and marketing degree, which I earned in 1986.
After graduation, I first moved to St. Louis, then to Boston, where I worked as a graphic designer in the higher education arena. In 1991, I moved to Florida where I continued painting as a hobby. In addition to painting, I still freelance in graphic design and marketing.
Last year, I expanded my portfolio to include handmade greeting cards, bringing me full circle to my original passion.
“My art flows from my heart and is a celebration of our beautiful,
mysterious, and colorful world.
I'm currently working in acrylics to create vibrant images that
convey and evoke a passionate emotional response.”
Reproductions on paper, canvas, or metal, and other options are available at Fine Art America.
